Pet Peeves

Don’t you hate it when something goes wrong in the manufacture of your box of Kleenex and they refuse to pop up properly?!

Yeah, me too.

And don’t you hate it when everyone is too lazy to clean the top of the ketchup squirter and it gets that nasty, gooey, rubbery dried ketchup on there?!

Yeah, me too.

And don’t you hate it when people list their pet peeves that are totally ridiculous and not at ALL pet peevy?!

Yeah, me too.

So what are yours? (Be forewarned … if you say people who blog incessantly about boring topics I’ll cry.)

Advertisements, radio, t.v., or print, that abuse the English language. There are so many, many bad ones, full of dangling modifiers, incorrect use of homonyms, and random and/or missing apostrophes. They send me screaming away from their products.

Angry and annoying ads for sure; and angry DJs – especially in the morning – I do not want to start my day listening to whiny anger – I like to wait and savor that moment by moment in the office!

      Mary P …. I agree. Theirs alot of crapy ad’s out they’re.

Claudia … you must have older sisters too. I have three! AND three older brothers. And sometimes my younger sister abuses me too. Poor me.

Mary F … you should listen to a better class of radio stations. Maybe one that plays exclusively ABBA songs. Start your day happily toe-tapping!

Nah, I’m just kidding about my siblings. We take swipes at each other constantly, and love every minute of it. In fact, I think we’d worry if nobody was dissing us. Having seven siblings means you can NEVER take yourself too seriously … you’ll get smacked down before you can blink twice. Plus, we could always field a baseball team.

Oh, me too! If I didn’t have an older sister to pick on, my children would be in dire straits. FYI, my sis gave up on being my mom YEARS ago–now she’s my best friend.

*snort* Thanks for the laugh, Becky!

As an older sister to 6 siblings, I’ll refrain from commenting on that…

…for about 5 seconds. Actually, though, my youngest sister, who’s 15 years younger than I am, is truly my best friend. I *hope* she doesn’t think of me as an annoying extra mother!
